Born Janney Marin Rivera on the 26th June 1985 in Los Angeles, California USA, Chiquis is a musician and television personality, but is also known to the world as the daughter of the late Mexican star Jenni Rivera, who was killed in a 2012 ‘plane crash.

The oldest of five children, she is the daughter of Jenni Rivera and José Trinidad Marín. In the late ‘90s it was discovered that Chiquis’ father molested her, and her sister and aunt as well. Chiquis made her first film appearance in the reality show “Chiquis & Raq-C”, which followed her mother Jenni, herself and Chiquis friend Raq-C, a radio personality. Back in 2014, Chiquis also launched her singing career, debuting with her single “Paloma Blanca”, a tribute to her mother. The following year she released the album “Ahora”, which topped the US Top Latin and US Regional Mexican Albums Charts, while it reached No. 82 on the US Billboard 200 chart, so achieving gold status in the USA, which considerably increased Chiquis’ net worth.
